Gifts Online

You can make a donation online by clicking the 'Online Donations' option from the top menu.

Gifts of Securities

Ask your financial advisor about the tax benefits of donating appreciated securities to Conservacion Patagonica. Should you wish to make a gift of stock, please call Conservacion Patagonica's office for transfer instructions.

Matching Gifts

Some employers offer to match charitable gifts made by their employees. If your company has this policy, contact your employer's benefits office to obtain necessary instructions.

Planned Gifts

Through planned gifts to Conservacion Patagonica, donors can help conserve Patagonia's wildlands, while realizing tangible financial gains. Benefits are realized through future estate tax savings, current income tax savings, reduction of capital gains taxes, and development of a lifetime income stream.

Planned giving techniques allow one to make charitable contributions at a future date. They also enable you or your family to retain the use of an asset until that future date. This can meet estate-planning needs, while also fulfilling your charitable intentions. Through careful planning, you can have more control over what your heirs and favorite charities ultimately receive. There are a number of different planned giving tools and financial or legal advisors can help you evaluate the best tool or strategy for your particular situation.

Bequests

A bequest-providing for Conservacion Patagonica in your will-is the simplest form of planned gift and allows you to provide an enduring gift to Conservacion Patagonica.

In most cases, the language to include is brief and simple, such as:

"I hereby give Conservacion Patagonica, a nonprofit organization, a bequest of $_____ to be used for its general charitable purposes."

Your bequest can involve a cash gift, real estate or securities. Please do let us know about your decision, so your gift can be properly acknowledged.

Qualified Pension Plans

Designating CP as the beneficiary to your IRA, Keogh, or other qualified pension plan can provide significant tax benefits. Assets in these plans accumulate without being taxed, but at the point of distribution can result in significant taxation.

Life Insurance Policy

Life insurance can maximize the size of the charitable gift you are able to make. It can also be a versatile estate-planning tool. For example, if you purchase life insurance and name Conservacion Patagonica as the beneficiary, all premiums are tax-deductible gifts, and upon your death CP will receive the full benefit of the policy. In addition, the cash value of the policy, which accumulates over time, can be accessed should CP need it.

Life Income Gifts

Life income gifts are powerful philanthropic tools. They typically provide income to the donor, a donation to a charity, and both income and estate benefits. There are a number of different types of life income gifts, like charitable remainder trusts, pooled income funds, charitable lead trusts, and revocable charitable remainder trusts.

Memorial and Honorary Gifts

You may choose to make a gift in honor or memory of someone. Simply indicate on your donation, who your gift is in honor or memory of and the name/address of the person you would like us to notify of your gift (our letter will not indicate the gift amount).
